Acceptable Use Policy

This Acceptable Use Policy (“Policy”) is incorporated into and forms part of the Terms of Service of Gaus LLC (“Company,” “we,” “our,” or “us”). Capitalized terms not defined in this Policy have the meanings given in the Terms of Service.

This Policy applies to all users (“you,” “your”) of the Company’s products, software, applications, websites, tools, content, APIs, AI-enabled features, and services (collectively, the “Services”).

This Policy may be updated from time to time. Continued use of the Services constitutes acceptance of the current version.

Prohibited Uses

In connection with your use of the Services, you agree that you will not, and will not permit or encourage others to, engage in any of the following activities:

1. Unlawful, Harmful, or Prohibited Content

Upload, submit, transmit, generate, or publish any data, content, or material that:

  • infringes or violates any intellectual property, privacy, publicity, or proprietary rights of a third party;

  • is false, misleading, fraudulent, or deceptive;

  • is defamatory, obscene, pornographic, vulgar, or otherwise offensive;

  • promotes discrimination, harassment, hatred, or harm against any individual or group;

  • is violent, threatening, or promotes violence or physical harm;

  • promotes or facilitates illegal activity, including the distribution of illegal substances or instructions for unlawful acts;

  • contains malware, spyware, ransomware, or other harmful code; or

  • includes Protected Health Information (PHI) as defined under the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (“HIPAA”), unless expressly authorized in writing by the Company under a HIPAA-compliant arrangement.

2. Misuse of Company Intellectual Property or Confidential Information

  • Copy, reproduce, modify, distribute, or create derivative works of the Services without express written authorization;

  • Use Company trademarks, trade names, logos, or branding without permission;

  • Access, use, or disclose Company Confidential Information without authorization.

3. Security and System Abuse

  • Access, tamper with, or use non-public areas of the Services, Company systems, or infrastructure;

  • Probe, scan, test, or exploit vulnerabilities in any system or network without express authorization;

  • Circumvent, disable, or interfere with security features, authentication mechanisms, or usage limits;

  • Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or extract source code from the Services.

4. Unauthorized Automation, Scraping, or Data Extraction

  • Access or extract data using bots, scrapers, crawlers, or automated tools not expressly approved by the Company;

  • Attempt to bypass rate limits or API restrictions;

  • Use hidden text, meta tags, or keyword stuffing referencing the Company or its trademarks.

5. Interference with Service Integrity

  • Interfere with or disrupt the Services, servers, or networks;

  • Impair the experience or access of other users;

  • Overload, flood, or intentionally degrade system performance.

6. Spam, Solicitation, and Abuse

  • Send unsolicited or unauthorized advertising, promotions, spam, or bulk communications;

  • Use the Services to harvest contact information for solicitation;

  • Misrepresent affiliation with the Company or impersonate another individual or entity.

7. Legal and Regulatory Violations

  • Use the Services in violation of any applicable local, state, federal, or international law or regulation;

  • Encourage or assist conduct that would violate any law or regulation.

Monitoring and Enforcement

While the Company has no obligation to actively monitor content or usage, we reserve the right to:

  • Monitor use of the Services to ensure compliance with this Policy;

  • Remove or restrict access to content that violates this Policy;

  • Suspend or terminate access to the Services, with or without notice, if we determine (in our sole discretion) that a violation has occurred;

  • Cooperate with law enforcement or regulatory authorities as required by law.

No Waiver

Failure by the Company to enforce this Policy in any instance does not constitute a waiver of our right to enforce it in the future.

Governing Law

This Policy is governed by the laws of the State of Missouri, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles.
